DinoBones: All 9 Coin Locations in the Museum

DinoBones: All 9 Coin Locations in the Museum

DinoBones – Tidy Up The Museum has nine hidden souvenir coins, and they are placed in different parts of the museum. You can find some of them easily, while others are tucked away near exhibits, walls, and objects. In this guide, I’ll show you where you can find all nine DinoBones coins and how to unlock the coin press machine.

Note: You cannot collect any coins until you unlock the coin press machine.

All 9 Coin Locations in DinoBones – Tidy Up The Museum

Here is a map showing all nine coin locations throughout the museum. You can use it as a reference to easily find them.

Coin 1 – Workshop

Starting in the workshop, I found the first coin on top of the plant pot. It’s easy to miss if you’re not checking the objects around the room.

Coin 2 – Near the Entrance

For the second coin, head outside the workshop and go to the main entrance door. Look at the right pillar, and you’ll find the coin on its base.

Coin 2 – Near the Enterance

Coin 3 – Behind Pachycephalosaurus Exhibit

This exhibit is very close to the Workshop, and you can see a statue behind it. Check below on the right side of this statue to find the coin.

Coin 4 – Near Triceratops Podium

For the fourth coin, go to the Triceratops exhibit. I found it on the left side of the exhibit podium.

Coin 5 – Spinosaurus and Kentrosaurus Exhibit

Head upstairs to the area where the Spinosaurus and Kentrosaurus exhibits are displayed together. If you’re facing the stairs, look along the wall on the right.

You can also see a Monster of the Past poster on the wall, and for the coin, you have to just look below it. The fifth coin is on the floor on the right side of the box.

Coin 6 – Mammoth Exhibit

Next, head to the Mammoth exhibit. While facing the stairs, look toward the left side, in the corner closest to the stairs. There you can see a garbage can, and the coin is lying next to it.

Coin 7 – Parasaurolophus Exhibit

Head to the Parasaurolophus exhibit and look behind it. You will see a pallet with three bones on it. Now check behind the pallet, and you’ll find your next coin.

Coin 8 – Near T-Rex Exhibit

I found this coin near the T-Rex exhibit. When you’re going upstairs, check the pillar on the right side that’s closest to them. The coin is located on that pillar.

Coin 9 – Kentrosaurus Exhibit

I actually found this coin last, as I didn’t realize it was connected to unlocking the coin press machine. However, you can make this your first coin if you complete the Kentrosaurus clue early.

Coin 9 – Kentrosaurus Exhibit

The coin is released once the Kentrosaurus’ plates and spikes are fully completed. I’ll explain how to do this.

How to Unlock the Coin Press Machine

Initially, the coin press machine is locked, and you can unlock it by completing the Kentrosaurus’s spine.

All you have to do is complete the plates and spikes running down the dinosaur’s back and tail.

You’ll need 28 bones to complete the spine & for the coin, and I found them in these crates:

  • Osteoderma laminare dextrum (1-9)
  • Osteoderma laminare sinistrum(1-9)
  • Osteoderma caudale dextrum (1-5)
  • Osteoderma caudale sinistrum (1-5)

Once the Kentrosaurus’ plates and spikes are fully assembled, a coin will roll out from its spine. This leads you to the hidden coin press machine.

Keep in mind that you only need to complete the plates and spikes running down its body and tail. The other tail parts, spine, and head are not required for the coin.

What to do with the Coins?

When you unlock the coin press machine, you can start collecting and pressing the nine souvenir coins. After pressing each coin, it will be added to the album on the wall inside the workshop.

One thing I noticed is that the coins aren’t assigned to specific dinosaurs. Instead, they are placed in the album in the order you press them. My album started with the Kentrosaurus coin, followed by the remaining coins from left to right and top to bottom.

Recommended order of dinosaurs:

Since the Kentrosaurus is the dinosaur that unlocks the coin press machine, I’d recommend completing it first. Its coin will also be the first one added to the album if you press it before the others.

Here is the dinosaur order shown in my album:

DinoBones: All 9 Coin Locations in the Museum
  1. Kentrosaurus
  2. Tyrannosaurus Rex (T. Rex)
  3. Triceratops
  4. Mammoth
  5. Spinosaurus
  6. Pachycephalosaurus
  7. Parasaurolophus
  8. Pteranodon
  9. Brachiosaurus

Collecting coins in Dinobones also gives you several achievements.

More Than a Skeleton

For one species, finish its skeleton, add its coin to the album, and play its cassettes.

Complete the full skeleton of any one dinosaur, press its souvenir coin, and place it in the album on the workshop wall. Finally, put its cassette on the podium and play it.

This will unlock the achievement.

The Curator’s Signature

Complete all nine skeletons, fill the coin album, and play all nine cassettes.

Complete all nine dinosaur skeletons, collect and press all nine souvenir coins, and place them in the album inside the workshop. You also need to put all nine cassettes on their corresponding exhibit podiums and play them.
